I was born in rural Dorset and was the first in my family to attend university. I am a research collaborator at Oxford University's Centre for Global Epilepsy, and an associate member of the Faculty of History.
I am currently studying for a fully funded MSc in Digital Scholarship at Keble College, Oxford. Prior to this, I graduated with a first-class BA in English in 2026, winning numerous academic prizes, including for my dissertation on epilepsy in the novels of William Golding.
Described as a "true and new" voice by The Guardian, I blend my academic rigour with accessibility to raise awareness of global health matters. I am also the proud 2026 winner of The Guardian Foundation's Emerging Voices Awards (formerly the Hugo Young Award).
